Aveda’s much-anticipated (it was six years in the making) Botanical Repair haircare system embraces plant-powered technology to instantly fortify and restore severely damaged hair. As to be expected from such a high-performance brand operating at the top of its game, a top team of specialist PhD chemists were utilised to create the formulas, from which the strengthening shampoo is a standout. Suitable for all hair types and textures and safe for colour-treated or chemically processed hair, it uses three individual technologies that work synergistically to effectively treat the three key layers of the hair. A plant-derived, bond-multiplying molecule goes below the surface, strengthening and reinforcing hair integrity at the core, while the cuticle is treated to a nourishing macro-green blend of avocado, green tea and sacha inchi, to help detangle and prevent breakages. A protective active complex takes care of the F-Layer, forming an invisible, water-resistant lipid layer that is made of fatty acid and seals the hair cuticle to prevent future damage. Formulated with 94 per cent naturally derived ingredients, vegan friendly and with a fresh, light and herbal aroma, it effortlessly removes excess oil, pollution and product build-up.
